TN: Home invasion robbery repelled by armed homeowner
Posted: Sat May 08, 2010 8:17 pm
Morristown, Tennessee, today -- A woman pretending to have car trouble called at a home at 1:30 this morning. When the homeowner opened the door, two men rushed the door and began shooting.
The homeowner defended himself with [are you ready for this?] a .22-caliber pistol that he had bought for his wife for mother's day.
The woman took one in the neck and died. The men fled.
You can see it's a pretty nice house and would attract such criminal geniuses.
Can we clone this sheriff?
The homeowners had appeared on a reality show last year, so I expect this story to be covered widely.
P.S.: I'm glad the righteous people are unharmed except for the bullet holes in the door, but this kind of thing would really spoil your weekend.

"If he had not taken the action that he took, I'm sure that the family could have been harmed and seriously injured."
