Packet (partial) sent back, can someone explain?

I have been religiously checking my stats on the DPS website (I suspect ya'll understand). I took the class on 27 March, mailed my packet on 20 April, and my status went from blank to almost completed 2 days ago. There where two items with a red "X" and I got them back from DPS today, they are as follows:

- Fingerprints : Incomplete, notice sent to applicant
- Proof of Special Condition : Not received, notice sent to applicant

Turns out during the class, I didn't fill out anything besides my signature on the fingerprint cards (this is now fixed)

The special condition is I'm active duty military and they need a copy of my I.D. card. I knew this already and I actually sent a copy of my current orders, LES, and a copy of the front and back of my I.D. card. But they are still requesting the I.D. card. Does it need to be a color copy of my I.D. card or what? This one I can't figure out. Thanks all.

I would definitely call or e-mail them rather than trying to read their minds. If you guess wrong, it will slow down your app for another couple of months. The e-mail address is chl@txdps.state.tx.us and they usually get back to you within a day. For fastest service, call 1-800-224-5744. Maybe they just lost the copy you already sent?

Good luck!

I sent them a color copy of my ID card, front and back and everything else you sent sans the orders. My application was accepted. I second calling them to be sure that was the snag, but as far as I can tell, that was the only difference between your application and mine.
