Can a 9 year old carry an "orange training gun" at a gunshow

Just wondering, would it be legal for a nine year old to carry a holstered (always) orange Blackhawk training Glock at the Mesquite gunshow?

Would the cops freak out?

I was unpacking from my move and found my training gun (I was a firearms instructor in a past life) and a Sidearmor holster and taught him a few basics of gun handling and drawing. He's big for his age, five feet tall (I've dated a woman shorter than him) so it didn't even look completely out of wack.

Children (people under 10 yoa by texas PC) can not commit a crime....so....YES?

Also - anyone carrying an orange piece of plastic as long as it is not concealed and made to look like a real firearm (Ie holding it in your shirt and pointing it at a bank teller) is not against the law regardless of age of the carrier or shape of the plastic.

Perfectly legal as noted above, but the "woman shorter than" got me. Just after I graduated from high school I went out with a girl who was 4'10" a couple of times. She refused to see me any more after I picked her up on the dance floor for a slow dance (being pretty skinny she was very light). She was giving me a backache trying to dance with her normally, I was 6'2".

My 86 year old mother is 4'10". Size has got nothing to do with it. She's terrifying. :smilelol5:

The gal I was thinking of was 4'9" compared to my 6'3". She was full of chunky midgetty goodness  The pic of what she wore on one date would be legal, but still likely not clean enough to post on a family friendly forum such as this :smilelol5:

My Fiancé is a 5'10" Texas gal, so no more shorties for me :nono:

The boy was "armed", only had a couple of people who actually noticed from what I could tell.

It was not a bad show, not like what I am used to from NC shows since there was not much in the way of surplus stuff. Lots of cars there, lots of people inside, worth $7 to walk around a little bit

IIRC, 4'10" is the maximum cutoff height to qualify as an official "little person" according to some little person association somewhere. I know this b/c of a very slow day in the college library and a heated discussion of my actual height. With a number of witnesses and by-standers wanting to play I measured in at an impressive 60" (finally). :thewave

I've heard that under 4'10" qualifies you for a handicap license plate. Never bothered to check into that claim since I disqualified around age 8 or so.
