Mexican President Felipe Calderon

I read in the article linked below, that President Calderon would like the U.S. to reinstate it's assault weapons ban to prevent these weapons from illegally entering Mexico.
Then he goes on to say...
The Mexican government rejects efforts "to criminalize migration so that people (who) work and provide things to this nation will be treated as criminals,"
Hmmm, so he wants to deny American citizens their constitutional rights, and allow Mexican citizens to disregard U.S. immigration laws? The hypocrisy is too much to bear.

I don't think it's hypocrisy at all, it's a flat out invasion, it's propoganda. Make us think we are doing a good thing, all the while Mexican citizens are moving into the border states in droves.

Why shouldn’t he come up here and say those things? Obama agrees with him.

So you want all the corruption and bribes and state controlled media that is Mexico to be part of the USA? No thanks. There is a reason why those people try to come here. It isn't because Mexico lacks resources.

It was a joke.

President Barack Obama threw cold water on the idea of pushing for the ban during a visit to Mexico last year. “I continue to believe that we can respect and honor the Second Amendment rights in our Constitution, the rights of sportsmen and hunters and homeowners who want to keep their families safe to lawfully bear arms, while dealing with assault weapons that, as we know, here in Mexico, are helping to fuel extraordinary violence," he said during an appearance with Calderon. "Now, having said that, I think none of us are under the illusion that reinstating that ban would be easy."

Maybe we should adope Mexico's immigration laws as our own. Would that be fair, Filipe?

Good eye opening article. Let's get on a level playing field and see how that works.

Tom McClintock is a rare breed in California. I voted for him for governor during the recall of Gray Davis, California's governor before Ahnold.
He nailed it but unfortunately, it will be largely ignored I fear.

I applaud Mr. McClintocks stance on the issue.
