COLT lightweight AGENT .38spl

My dad is looking to trade his Colt revolver for a semi auto rifle (ar, ak, m14, m30). I dont have any actual photos of the gun as we live 1.5hrs apart. I dont know when it was manufactured, i just remember seeing it on his ankle as a BUG when he went to work. (retired leo, now a DA investigator)
i did find a photo of one on the web so ill use it till i can get an actual pic.

he works in Denton County, but lives in montague, the meeting would probably have to take place in Denton.

DA Investigators usually still have their commission carried through the DA's office - which makes him an ACTIVE peace officer :) Either way tell him thanks for the service!
Is he considering a sale price on the revolver?

he's very much still a certified peace officer, he's why I'm in the business.
I was a kid when he bought it, I don't know what they go for. I don't believe they are still made by colt though.
I wouldn't even know where to start on a cash price, so I sent him a text and he said a cash price of 525.

alright gents (and ladies)
ive got a stripped lower and upper for my dad's AR build, this needs to go to make funds for the build
open to REASONABLE offers. but will drop it down to 450 OBO or TRADE for quality AR parts (ff quad rail, optics, stocks, etc)
