I have been having some trouble with my Para Big Hawg. When pulling the slide back to chamber a round it will catch on the feed ramp. Now i am no gunsmith, but i am thinking maybe the feed ramp could use polishing? It has done this with both Winchester White Box, and self defense ammo. Doc's is the only gun shop close to me that i have seen/heard of. is there any others clsoe to carrolton i should consider, or will he be just fine? thank you.
god bless.

If you are close to Doc's, you are also close to SPS which is at Beltline and Josey. Both do good work although Doc's is a whole lot better at getting the work done in time and doesn't have minimum charges to the best of my knowledge. I have gone to both but now I go first to Doc's.

Everytime I've been in Doc's they've been friendly and most helpful.

I agree. Good place and good people. Doc can do lots of stuff but, understand that a 'pistolsmith' and a quality 'gunsmith' like Doc might not be exactly the same critter.
Mucho more better than SPS by any stretch.

I had docs work on a kimber about a year ago
pretty basic work
They "have a 1911 guy" that comes by once a week
They seem to be long gun specialists
But they are friendly and I would consider using them again

Doc's been around a long time and does good work. Just don't expect a quick turn-around right before or during hunting season.

Great guy. Bought from him before. Asked him to do work on a rifle for me, but instead he saved me money by showing me how to do it myself easily and quickly. Honest and helpful.
Just don't expect a quick turnaround during or just before hunting season.

I had Doc's work on a shotgun that was not working. It is now working. They are always nice to me when I'm in there. I would go back. That's my $.02
