When the U.S. Marine Corps lost three men on June 6 in Afghanistan, one of them was former Kingwood resident Sgt. Brandon C. Bury.

My family and I just came home after lining the streets of Kingwood in respect for Sgt. Brandon C. Bury's funeral procession. We were just four people among thousands standing to honor this hero. This is one of the most moving experiences of my life. To see that many people waving flags, holding signs and becoming so quiet you can hear the birds was amazing and humbling. I am still choked up at the display of reverence.
Remember all of our troops in your prayers. Whenever you hear of a funeral procession, please drop all that you are doing and choose to honor the soldier by lining the streets. This is the least we can do!
I salute you Sgt. Bury.

Semper Fidelis
Edited to change the title to Fallen Marine.

When I first read the story I went and got a card, wrote some nice things in it and dropped it in his moms mailbox anonymously.
