38-spl 6-shot classic double-action revolver
4" Heavy barrel
Trade-in from a French prison.
Cosmetically fair (worn re-blue), mechanically excellent.
Excellent choice for a truck/console gun, or home defense.
this has been my desk gun for a long time.
Reliable and accurate, good bore.

bump. Buyer quit communicating, so back to available.
I do like the grips on this. They are marked "Trausch".
They feel like target grips. They have a sort of beavertail molded into the upper rear, possibly to keep your web away from the hammer. It also lengths the grip/pull length by about 3/8", so it fits big hand s a bit better. At the same time, the grip area is about the same thickness as the small grips, and smaller than wood target grips. At any rate, they have a good feel to them.
Note that I have this listed on TGT at $300 to include a nice set of S&W Target Grips. Gun is pictured there with those grips.

I've bugged my friend about it, and I sent him a link to this thread, and I haven't heard back from him. I tried, but you can't make the proverbial horse drink... and he was asking me if I knew of a deal like this, on a pistol like this, in this price range just a couple of weeks ago.
Do what you've got to do. Sorry it hasn't worked out.

realizing i am a complete stranger and not knowing the legalities of it... that said the wife, Jr, and i will be in houston this friday through monday. if you gents can square a deal, i would gladly transport from Carrollton to Houston. maybe an odd offer, but just like to help when/where i can.
