Man shot in back after he gives robber his money

Here's a reminder that if someone is threatening you with a gun, you have to assume they intend to kill you. It's hard to say whether he would have had an opportunity to draw and fire if he had been armed, but if you ever find yourself in that same situation, you can't assume that just being compliant will keep you alive.

DALLAS - Police are investigating a robbery and shooting.
It happened in the 3500 block of Dan Morton Drive, just before 9 a.m.
Officers say the suspect pointed a gun at 41-year-old Lazaro Herrera-Diaz of Fort Worth and demanded his money.
After he got it, he ordered Herrera-Diaz to walk away, then shot him in the back and fled.
Herrera-Diaz is hospitalized in stable condition.

Must be another real nice neighborhood if people get robbed on the street at 9:00 AM?

Actually, that area is more industrial than anything. But it is pretty much right next to the bad part of town.
