Double checking after class

Hello!
I just fininshed my class this evening and have a qeustion regarding the application. I did an online application and received a check list on things to send in which are the following:
photos - check
prints - check
photo holder - check
class cert form - check

That is all I should need. However, the instructor said that I should send in the paper application as well. He said that there is no harm in providing too much information. It seems like if they laready have the online app, then sending in another paper app would CONFUSE things, not make things simpler.

Also, I noticed that the large envelope that comes with the packet has a different p.o. box than the one on the checklist I received. Should I just get a new envelope and use the address on the check listor is the envelope provided good enough?

I am all for keeping things simple and do not want to hamper my application process in any way. Thoughts?

If you completed an online application, do NOT send in a paper application too. You are correct, it will only confuse things.

Use the address in your checklist. The P.O. box for paper applications is different than for online apps, as you have already paid your fee online. Paper apps go to accounting first for payment.

Thanks for the quick reply! I thought I was on the right track. I just wanted to make sure and double check. Oh..... FWIW I got a 248 for qualifying.

I took the class back in October, then immediately got busy procrastinating about sending it in.

I finally got off my tail and applied on-line on 5/23.

I put the package together ONLY sending what was on the checklist. I put it in a new envelope and used the address on the checklist.

I sent it in on 5/24.

DPS received it on 5/27.

Got plastic 7/6.

Exactly 40 days from them receiving it to me having plastic in my hand. Not bad!

The hardest part was the first 3 weeks. It took that long for them to post "received" on-line.
