i'll be getting married in the future and i've been wondering what i will carry at my wedding. it's a toss-up between my rtf2 g19 or buying a springfield trp. what did you carry at your wedding and why?

No gun at our wedding, but just want to point out that the bride stands to the left in order to leave your right hand friend to draw your weapon should you need to defend her.

I wrote out my congratulations on your engagement, but then realized that it might be a hypothetical future and not a definite one at this point with the way you worded it. If the date isn't yet set, you might have a different gun by then. And if it is, congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! May you live out the rest of your days in peace and happiness together!

I didn't need to be armed. Last time I got married it was 1979 and she was pregnant. Her dad supplied shot gun coverage.

as long as she keeps making enchiladas with all the fixin's its set in stone. i'll be popping the question by the end of the year. was gonna do it on september 1st but things have changed at work and i dont know if i'll be able to take vacation days yet. four years and she hasn't left me yet , so i guess she likes me .

her daddy doesn't own a gun so i'm good.

I carried my bride over the threshold, we did not have legal chl in Tx. 36 yrs ago.

I was 17 when I got hitched up. I wasn't "legally" able to do any of the fun stuff yet.

I carried my normal setup on my wedding day - Hi-Power OWB @ 3:30 and LCP pocket-carried.

I did forgo the usual belt-hung 2-mag carrier, as it filled out my waist a little too much for the guayabera I was wearing. I carried a spare in my pocket, instead.

Had I the choice, I might have carried something a little more fancy, like a stainless/polished 1911. I don't have one of those, and that wasn't in the wedding budget.

It's an interesting challenge. Maybe that explains why some bouquets are so large.
