If true, would this be the third invasion of US soil in our history?

EDIT:

...or fourth...?

Sadly, in this day and age, our government, nor many of our citizens, will view ANY invasion of our territory a "proper" invasion unless the invaders are wearing the uniform of a foreign sovereign nation.

Mention was made of this in Gunfire? I'd better check Facebook.
But you're right in giving it it's own thread.

ConfederateYankee says he called both the Laredo PD and the Sheriff's office, and both say this report is baloney.

I dunno, but I have lots of doubts about the original story.

There are problems on the border, and it does need to be sealed, but if people peddle hoax incidents, it will rapidly destroy the credibility of efforts to take the problem seriously. We have enough problems getting the feds to take this seriously without makng up stuff.

If true, kill all invaders.
Thank you!

The Laredo paper says officials know nothing of a rumored Zeta standoff.

Maybe On Topic, maybe not. Whadda think?

A few years ago, there was lots of local ink regarding a Rio Grande landowner who detained several 'tresspassers' at gunpoint while waiting for the arrival of the local Sheriff.

There was legal action and the presumption of innonence seemed to apply to the property owner, not just the government,. The presumably innocent kidnapped detanees, or their legal representatives, now own the ranch.

My Google-Fu is waaay bad. Help.

I tend to believe this is just internet rumor. If it were true it would be all over the media. There is no way this could be kept quiet.

I would like to think that it would be all over the media; HOWEVER; as the politicians of both parties are afraid of alienating this ever growing voter bloc, I have no doubt but that the liberal media would also shy away from alienating them also.

I agree about the liberal mainstream media. I have no use for them but I think we should see something about it on Fox News or even The Drudge Report. :patriot: :txflag:

Yep.

One of the guys I work with keeps tabs on these guys. They are freaking butchers and will put up videos of their "work" on youtube until they are taken down to mock their enemies. The videos show dismembered bodies and all of the other carnage these guys cause. If it were true (probably not), I would hope the we responded with extreme prejudice.

Thane told me he "hadn't heard anything" that would corroborate the story. Then he told me, and I quote, "and I -seriously- doubt the Zetas are that stupid. Hide out in the US? Sure. Commit hits/assassinations in the US? Yep. Take over a ranch, drawing the attention of an armed populace in an unfriendly country? they're not that stupid." He suspects that if a ranch were taken over, it was probably in Nuevo Laredo and the story got garbled in the transmission.
