Anyone know if Twin Peaks(DFW) is posted? I did not see it on Texas3006.com or on a quick search here.

sorry, no answer to your question, but asking a question to you.

There is a Twin Peaks opening up down in Webster, is it basically another "hooters"? or what is it?

It's what folks call a "breastaraunt" (mods - this is a term that I see in our local papers). Been once or twice, we might get one next door in Southlake, it would compete with the places we have in Grapevine (Bone Daddy's, Tilted Kilt, Hooters, Big Racks).

I know. Just remember the "G" rateing of the forum.
Lots of things in the big city news papers that are not "G" rated.
Being there wont justify it here.

I've been to the one in Lewisville about a year ago and all it had was the "Unlicensed Possession" sign.

IMO, the food is much better at Twin Peaks and a more varied menu.

Twin Peaks, Hooters, Tilted Kilt, and Bone Daddy's are all "CHL friendly", at least the ones here in Grapevine and the surrounding area. I think they know they'd lose a lot of their true Texan clientele (which from what I've seen makes up the majority) if they posted a 30.06 sign :thumbs2:

I can't comment on Big Racks BBQ yet, haven't had a chance to try it out.

BTW, as for rankings, it goes like this for me:

1. Tilted Kilt (best menu, quietest (relative term as all of these are loud), and best atmosphere, probably because I have a lot of Irish and Scottish in me)

2. Hooters (great wings and several other great menu items, loud but friendly)

3. Twin Peaks (more good food, nothing really bad to say about them except the waitresses seem to be rejects from the first two. Second quietest.)

4. Bone Daddy's (The food is okay but overly spicy for the most part, and I swear some of the waitresses used to be men. I am not kidding)

The only one I'm really not fond of is Bone Daddy's. A friend and I got a free dinner after we had to share our table with a roach and silverfish... "rlol"

I was at the Twin Peaks in Round Rock recently, and I saw a 51% sign at the entry way and returned to my car to disarm. I also saw the "Unlicensed Possession" sign. I'm not sure which sign is applicable, and I didn't look at their Liquor License.

The TABC database doesn't help on this one, as they apparently do not have a Food and Beverage permit like most of the others. The only way to tell is call TABC or check the license. I seriously doubt they are a 51% venue.

Either way, they need to legally remove one of the signs. TABC will contact them and tell them which one to remove if you notify them that the location has the signs improperly posted.

Yeah. I went thru this with Contenders in Cedar Park about 6 months ago. Called the TABC and they said they'd take care of it -- after telling me that the correct sign was the "unlicensed possession" sign. Took about 3 months for them to remove the 51% sign. This seems like a common problem where places just post whatever TABC sends them.

Looking at all of the Twin Peaks locations in the TABC database, apparently a couple of their locations have been cited before for having the wrong sign posted. All it might take is a call to the local store manager and advisee them they need to post only the correct sign or the TABC will be citing them, then tell them how to tell which one they should have. If they are not cordial about your call, then the TABC can handle it.

We went on a dinner ride with some other friends to the Twin Peaks in Plano. There was only the
"UnLicensed Possession" sign, NO 30.06. The food was good, the Ranger game was on the tube, the
waitress was nice........ I can't comment on how the waitress looked....my wife was with me and
I knew better than to "look".

Went to a "Bachelor's Party" at the Twin Peaks in Round Rock (at Louis Henna in the Walmart shopping center across from La Frontera) and BOTH signs are still posted, and likely posted incorrectly as they are not clearly visible. (Didn't see them at first, didn't see them after LOOKING for them with some care) as they are off to the side of the entry behind the inner doors facing 90 degrees to the direction people enter, and the 51% is not even firmly affixed on all corners but bent away from the wall.

Who specifically do I call (at TABC) or where do I get the info to explain to the manager -- this one is irritating me.

Thanks

And yes, Twin Peaks is basically a sports bar Hooters clone, serving food and drink.
