Spring Gun and Ammo is open with their new indoor range. They have 8, 25 yard lanes. Looks like a real nice place. I think I am going to give it a try come Monday Morning. While you guys are at work.
Lots of eye candy for sale and even some rentals for momma to try out before she buys. Looks like they are planning CHL classes too. Their address is 4409 Spring Cypress Road, in Spring.
And what is real nice? They are only a couple miles from home. Yahoo!!!

Great to hear it's now open! Last I heard the shop keeper told me they were planning to allow ARs on the range (I know it's only 25 yards), anybody know if that's still the case? When he told me I vaguely remember that it included .223/5.56, not just the .22 kit.
Edit: checked the website and it still has the "pending" status but...
We are in the process of constructing a 9,000 SF facility with an indoor, climate controlled 8 lane 25 yard
rifle/pistol shooting range, full gunsmith shop, Concealed Handgun License and other training, along with 2,000 SF of retail.

Visited this morning with a pistol, rifle, and a friend with no problems. Great range and shop with a very nice rental selection (custom 1911s, AK, and various others).

How was the air conditioning system in the range area?
I normally go to Shiloh, but last time I was there it was so hot in the firing range that I was sweating bullets.

I shot there Friday, it's a great range - well air conditioned and well lit, there was a guy next to me shooting a rifle.
Good people own it. FYI no hollow points, FMJ only.

They are just around the corner from me and I've bought several items from them in the past. Now that the range is open I'll probably be there most weekends......LOL
The Owner and guys working there are really great. Stopped in today to congradulate them on their grand opening. They're still getting organized and even had their first CHL class today.

I arrived when they opened at 10am and it was very cool at the firing line (~62 F). It warmed up to around 72 F after about an hour. I'd be interested to see what the temperature is like in the heat of the day. The ventilation was good, never had a musty smell of gunpowder like at Shiloh (not hating because Shiloh is great, but I know better when I see it).
The firing lane walls are a bit short, had some brass from my neighbor jumping into my lane, but that's not that big of a deal (probably depends on the gun, too).
Had a great crowd of shooters in the first group: A friendly gentleman offered me a few rounds out of his AR mod (5.45x39) with a cheap-o optic that worked really well.

Stopped by this morning. Met Ryan the manager/gunsmith..nice guy.
Nice gun selection. Prices seemed fair.
Large selection of Crossbreed and Tagua Holsters.
The store was roomy. The range was nice and well lit.
Range fee is $15 per lane up to two shooters.
Sorry Shiloh, I found a new shooting range.

Sweating bullets? If they are of the correct caliber then I think that solves the expensive ammo problem!!

Hey guys! There is ANOTHER new indoor range open! Not sure if they have had their grand opening yet, but it is Lone Star Guns Gallery and Gear in Weatherford.
I don't know anything about them other than what I have seen driving by. They are on I20, just west of Hwy 51, but before you get to the high school, on the south side. I think the building used to be a skating rink. It is across the highway from the Home Depot.
Anybody know anything about them?

I pass by Spring Guns every day, and have been waiting for the new range to open. I'll have to take a trip there this weekend to give it a try. And less than five minutes from the house...BONUS!

I might even purchase that Bersa 380 I've been eyeing!
