*Edited title to match other threads*
Didn't see a thread for August so I started one.
Took class in September of 09 (Don't ask!)
07/26/10 Packet mailed
7/29/10 Packet Received by DPS
8/4/10 Online updates available
Now I'm afraid to check the website again. I'm just waiting to get a page that says "DENIED" in huge, red, blinking font!

is there something in your past that you are worried about? or just kidding?
Good luck --- Oh, don't bother checking the website until at least August 23 to be safe, it will probably take that long to change.

I have nothing on my record...not even an unpaid parking ticket. It's just that I have a pretty common name just like most Mexican Americans around my area. I have a friend who's been harassed twice by the Attorney Generals office for child support for a kid that isn't his. Even from a state he's never been to.

I don't think that the DPS processing has anything to do with your name or heritage. I have a very unusual last name - there are only a couple of others in Texas and I have only had one parking ticket in the 22 years that we've lived in Texas. It is has still taken a long time for them to process my application and get to this point.
