Heard of Abilene local radio today...found this info on Abilene TV station website......

I don't follow. Did he find something in the store that didn't belong there or not?

I am so lost.

TV news coverage just reported he saw what he thought was TOY and was playing with it....He said because of "weight" of gun he then thought itwas real....that is when He called 911 to report finding a handgun....he panicked and started to leave.. did take it with him...TV says being charged with making false 911 call.

Story is confusing but News reporting in ABILENE has always been sub-par

But why is it a false 911 call if he really did find it and believe it was real? That's what I don't get.

He wasn't taking his medicine and he was "hanging out" at Walmart. If I'm reading this right he was hanging out in the BB gun section and "found" a BB gun that he thought was a real gun, but it was actually a BB gun. And after he called 911 to report his find he "got scared and left" - with the aforementioned BB gun.

I wonder if it still had a price tag or packaging attached. He's very fortunate that the BB gun was in a bag and not his waistband or this could have been a sad a strangely familiar story.

- He found a BB gun in the BB gun section of the store
- He called 911 to say he had found a real gun
- Cops found him with a BB gun
- Caller is charged
