I never have liked waiting

Quick introduction... My user name is teds787. As you may have guessed, my name is Ted. The 787 is not a random number. My home is Austin, TX. I wasn't born here, but I got here as quickly as I could after Mom and Dad let loose of me. All Austin zip codes start with 787, and I've had several. I used to us my current zip code as part of my user name, but then two years after I moved I couldn't remember what my old zip was and subsequently, my user name. So far I haven't had any user name conflicts with teds787.

I took my CHL class July 31st and mailed my packet on August 9th. Today's the 10th. So far I've only checked the DPS web site for status once. I wonder if I should even try to keep track of how many times I end up checking for the status. I'm guessing I'll have at least a month to go over the wealth of knowledge available in this and other sites.

Like I say, I hate waiting, but I've done what I can and now there's nothing else to do.

Go here: http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=36953" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (it will be nice to have a "support group" and the topic will fill up fast).

It took me 58 days from the time it was received at DPS until I received my CHL. Some are less, some are more.

You can go to the waiting room on the board index and go to some of the other months if you want to see everybody's experiences.

You're really going to dislike the wait on this one...I promise.

I remember waiting for my CHL...I guess I'm not real patient either, since I was checking the site several times a day. Hang in there...welcome to the forum.

Welcome! I have only been here about six weeks or so. Even in the short amount of time I have learned so much that really was not covered in the CHL class.
