I was there recently and did not see any 3006 signs.
I have photos of the bar and no 51% sign either. Having said that, they serve no food and serve only beer on premise....therefore all retail sales on site would be 100% alcohol.....
No one checked for weapons at the door but I left my gun locked in the safe in the truck. Knife and flashlight went in though

It's not posted 30.06.
I don't think it's posted TABC either. They only sell admission, not beer. 100% of their revenue is from admission. I personally would carry if I were going as the DD - but I love my SA beer, so I'm never the DD.

thanks both of you.
I also assumed that they do not sell beer for on-site consumption, therefore no 51% issue, and since I will not be drinking (I do not drink much anyway, when I do drink - and i do not drink and carry)
So i will be carrying tonight.
Thanks

Tell us what you think of the new location. I haven't been since they moved and I'm curious if there's a real tour again or if it's the same quick speech followed by the tasting and the big crowds, like the past few years.
I remember when the tours were 10-20 people actually getting a tour.

Well, I'll chime in on this. Sales come from merchandise and admissions. You pay your 7, they give you a glass and four tokens for beer. The tour lasts probably around 45 minutes, during which they take you through the brewing process and answer most questions. It's not a bad tour, but I don't have the experience from the last location to compare it to.

My wife and I went with a vendor of my company, there was about 70 people there or so.
We had about 3 hours (available) there, we left after 2 hours. The Tour took about 20 minutes or so, was somewhat interesting. My wife tried 2 or 3 of the beers and liked them.
I had 4 or 5- 7oz glasses of root beer, and it was VERY good!
We weren't limited to 4 tokens, but unlimited of any/all of the brews, with the proviso that anyone drunk would be asked to leave.

LOVE it. It's a lot bigger and cooler (ie air conditioned) than the previous location. And choochoo trains go by the windows. It's been super crowded on saturdays though, enough that we didn't even feel like waiting long enough to get in. It should be a lot better with school starting up though. I hear weekdays are also better.
See if they have any of the weedwhacker left.
Like he said, the root beer is excellent. Second best root beer I've ever had.
Buy one of the big glasses they sell there, about $20. They don't advertise it, but you get your full pint for a single token - so buy it before you get your glass filled.
