"Your 2A is showing..."

Stopped by a local sandwich shop at lunch today. I was people watching while standing in line and a noticed a big guy (when you are 5' tall, most every one is considered 'big) in a very pretty yellow shirt. <no really, the color looked good on him-not everyone can wear yellow...> So anyway (SQUIRREL!), he paid and moved over to the drink counter where I could see he was carrying big as day OWB @ 4 o'clock when he leaned over to do the whole lid/straw thing.

Hint, might want to check the view from behind to see if you are printing. ;-)

I would think he would have worn a darker color if carrying OWB.
He may have been an off duty officer and not worried to much about being made. Still, I hope that no one else noticed his CCW.
I carry IWB so it's not much of a problem to conceal if leaning over.

Best thing I have found since I prefer OWB is I buy Tall shirts. They cover when I reach or bend over. I typically leave the bottom button undone, it makes it easier to draw. :thumbs2:

I have become of the opinion that people are so consumed by their own lives and whatever gadget they may be holding at that time (i.e. cell phone) that 98+% of the population would never notice.

I used to be really conscious about whether or not my gun was showing and that someone would freak out. In the nearly 4 years that I have been carrying I barely worry about it anymore. Not that I go around carrying while wearing an Under Armour shirt but I don't worry nearly as much about people seeing it anymore.

I'm expecting my plastic in the mail any day now! So, I made a trip to Academy to buy some long button up shirts. I darted home and spent the next half hour in front of my bedroom mirror reaching in every direction including bending over and looking over my shoulder...never once thinking about how fruity I may look doing it. That is until my wife started laughing histerically! She scrambled for her phone to snap a few shots but she wasn't fast enough!

Funny you say that.
I have had my license since April 2010..... that is precisely what I normally wear with my IWB Crossbreed Minituck and Springfield XD9sc.
I wear it at 3:15 to 3:30 and it is not noticeable at all.

I thought about it, but wasn't quite sure of the relationship status with the lady he was with! If he had been alone or with the boys, I might have made a comment. :tiphat: (I didn't want to be perceived as stepping on toes! Girl code and all...)

Off topic, but I've got to ask...

When wearing a holster, how much difference is there in carrying 3:15 and 3:30? When I look at a clock, the little hand barely moves when going from 3:15 to 3:30.

Should I carry at 3:27 or 1:54? :smilelol5:

with my crossbreed, its a bit past 3 and not quite to 4.

at about 3:15 or maybe even 3:30, it just fits in there where you don't even think about it.

there may not be "much" of a difference, but I can feel the difference.
