Well, I guess it will be OK cause we did. Specially the wife.
We went to hear the "Marksmen" tonight. Excellent Bluegrass Gospel group. In a rush to get out & Wife is hurrying me & setting in the car wanting to get there. About 2/3 of the way through I suddenly feel a little light around the neck.
Did not forget my gun, got my knife. OH no. forgot my ID pack. Did not do a pat check before leaving & sure nuff no ID.

In all the yrs never left my gun but this is #2 leaving ID at home.

It happens but at least you noticed you were missing it. It's a horrible feeling I know. I always keep my keys, wallet, watch, ring, and gun on the same table and put them on at the same time.....and I STILL have left my ID on occasion due to being rushed or getting sidetracked. It happens. Dont feel too bad. About 2 weeks ago we went out to eat dinner. I paid with my bank debit VISA and the next day Im getting gas and guess what...no card. Lost it somewhere. Its easy to get rushed and forget things and its not exclusive to you.

I've done it a few times, but usually figure it out within a few blocks and turn around to go back and get it. Since it's all in the wallet I also can't pay for anything.

Mine is not in my wallet. I wear it on a lanyard around my neck. Only thing in th ID pac is DL, CHL, POI, & 2 hearing aid batteries. If I get stopped I never have to put my hands near my weapon.


BTW - Maximus, thought about Never Again but, this is twice & I am old so did not want to add lying to the charges too.

So when you noticed it did you go back and get it, or did you disarm until you had your DL and CHL with you?

When I noticed it we were about 2/3s of the way through the program. About 20 minutes left. When it was over I went home & got it.

I forgot my blackberry Monday, was halfway to work (40 mile comute one way) I felt naked all day. I did have my G30 with me though.

I feel ya Jerry, I was walking up to the gun store last week and patted my right front pocket and NO WALLET. I guess that's someones way of telling me I don't need a new gun.

I guess I'm "old school", but I always keep my pants pockets "loaded"...in case I have to go somewhere unexpectedly and/or don't have to worry about where something is.

Wallet, money, licenses/insurance, keys, ALWAYS in my pant's pockets...even when undressed for bed. Grab pants and it's all there!

I've never failed to have my important stuff on me or within arm's reach immediately.

Never had too much sympathy for those that unload their pockets "when they get home" and then wonder if the dog, wife or husband, cat, kids, etc., grabbed something off the "table" and your temporarily "lost" something.

Having your stuff in your pockets is "not supposed to be comfortable...it's comforting" to hijack words about gun carry.

I've managed to get out of the house a couple of times with the holster securely in place just where it should be, a spare mag just where it should be....and no gun. Seems I got distracted and skipped a step while getting ready to go out.

Fortunately I tend to discover it pretty quick when I sit down in the car and don't experience that reassuring poke
in the back at 4:30 like I'm used to.

I do too. I had jsut got out of the shower. we were rushing. My ID is on a lanyard around my neck, not in billfold. I got everything else. Just forgot to grab the "Dog Tags" as I ran out.

It can happen to anyone LT, when i pulled that
stunt, i just left my gun in the truck and let my Wife be my protector.

We saw the Marksmen at salmon lake and they we're great.

I've never gotten off without my gun or my wallet. I have on occasion managed to get out of the house without my belt, though. I'm still not sure how that happened.

I hate it when I leave the house without something important like my wallet. I am a creature of habit to the extreme. Every night I come home from work and unload my pockets. Wallet, checkbook, spare change, knife, pen, watch, cell phone, and about 5 key rings all go on a side table. Gun stays on and when it is bed time, my gun goes with me and stays on the wife's bedside table while I keep the 12 gauge on my side. In the morning, I do it in reverse, with my last stop before walking out the door being the side table where I left my wallet and various other items. As a single man, I never forgot anything. Marriage changes things though.
Every once in awhile, for reasons unknown, my wife with tidy up and move some of the stuff off the table like my pen, or watch, or cell phone. Once any item has been removed from the table, I will always forget it. Then about an hour later when I reach for my pen, or look down at my watch, I discover I don't have it. I don't know what frustrates me more, my wife moving it in the first place, or the fact that my brain is unable to notice it is missing before I actually need it later in the day.

No belt necessary w/ those tuckable clips though.
