According to reports (since I wasn't there) in Fort Meyers, Florida, this week a 57-year-old great-grandmother pled in the death of her 2-year-old great-grandson who found the woman's revolver and fatally shot himself.

The woman must serve five years probation and pay for a billboard to inform the public of the hazards of unsafe storage of weapons.

Apparently this really was a negligent occurrence, not the usual gangster disorderly household kind of thing.

The defendant's race is not mention.

57? My great-grandparents were born around 1850. I don't think any of them made it to 1900.

You evidently don't understand urban generations of 12-15 years spanning a generation, opposed to 25-35 years for most country folks :) There was a news story here a year or so ago about a 27 year old grand mother getting into some sort of altercation, so 57 would probably be a pretty old Great Grand Parent in this context.

Your chronology is quite impressive.

My father was 40 years older than I. The Irish tended to marry late and have children late. I don't know if they couldn't read the manual or what.

According to that story the mother went to her doctor (GP) a few weeks earlier and they didn't figure out she was pregnant. Is that what we should expect here when Obama forces us to have socialized medicine?
