As the comments indicate, it wasn't Taps, but it was beautiful all the same.

I believe that is the tune that Taps was derived from.

Yes it was not Taps exactly but it is a rendition of Taps.

It's the other way around. The song the girl was playing, Il Silenzio, was written in 1965. Taps is much older than that.

'TAPS' is 'Butterfields Lament'. War Between The States.
It and 'Amazing Grace' are, for me, the most inspirational, reflective, hopeful tune ever.
Each is waaay teary eyed when played by a trumpet or harmonica.
