Veteran with a question

I have misplaced my DD214 I was discharged in 1986, my question is will a photo copy of my honorable discharge be sufficent for proof. I have sent my packet off and paid the $70.00 application fee.

I had to send a copy of mine in with a copy of my orders, I am a fanatic when it comes to records. If you don't have them, I'm not sure how to go about getting copies. Go through your paprwork you have, ods are you have a copy somewhere. Good luck...

Every year I get a letter from the VA which shows proof of my status as a disabled vet they accept that also.
