Happy 5711

I'd like to wish all my friends here a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year as we start the year 5711. (I'm going to be writing 5710 on my checks for a while.) Sorry I haven't been around much, been very busy with my pro-Israel activist group, I've built a nice interfaith coalition for my work in challenging some hate groups. I've also been busy with taking lots of new students to the range, at least 30 or so over the last few months. It's fun, but I am so busy babysitting I don't have much time to shoot.
For any strict fundamentalists out there, today is 5711 years since Creation. I personally have no difficulties balancing my beliefs in science with my religion. This is a time to reflect on the past year and how we can improve ourselves in the coming year. (More range trips?) We have so much security at shul this week, I feel safer not carrying. Well, if you call an LCP not carrying.
Here is a pic of a rabbinical student I had at the range, I've taken about 15-20 of them over the last few months. If there were 10 guys like this one in Crown Heights in 1991, the pogroms there would have never happened. They told me I did a lot for their self confidence. I've been teaching them gun safety, they've been teaching me Torah (Bible). Best part is they usually break out vodka or beer for our Torah study, I can't do that at the range.

Hope all of you have a terrific year!
