Field strip Armscor AK 22? Free lunch, 50BMG, ammo, r fees!

I bought an Armscor AK 22 and it is absolutely a nightmare! The gun needs several different types and sizes of screwdrivers in order to field strip for cleaning. So, I bought a screwdriver kit. However, for the life of me, I cannot seem to be able to take it apart! The owner's manual says to unscrew the trigger guard but the trigger guard screw is recessed so I cannot clearly see what type/size of screwdriver to use. I used a flashlight to illuminate it and used what seems to be the correct screwdriver, but the screw is stuck! 
Am I doing something wrong?
Anybody own one of these things and can show me how to disassemble it? I will pay your range fees, buy you bullets to shoot with, let you shoot a 50 BMG, and buy you lunch. Thanks!
