Dallas Stars Open House @ AAC Carry??

The Stars have an open house(open practice) this weekend at the AAC and I was wondering if I could possibly carry to this event...
I know about the pro sporting event prohibition so I'm leaning towards no but since it is just a practice and not an actual game I thought I'd get some more expert advice here.
Does "pro sporting event" include practice sessions too?
Thanks guys! :tiphat:

The key word: EVENT

It does not have to be a 'game'.

Kinda what I was thinking, just thought I'd clarify.

I wouldn't consider practice a sporting event.

IANAL, but I would. That event is so dark gray that I think you would have a hard time defending that it is not.

Every time I've been to AAC they have had metal detectors.

They have ditched the big arch metal detectors and gone with wands. They also don't wand everyone. The wife and I went to three Stars games last season and was only wanded once. I think the time I was wanded I had a jacket on. The other two times I did not have a jacket and could have CC IWB underneath my jersey easily. I won't, but I could have.

I have not been there for any other event, so I don't know what is done at those times.

I'll admit that I'm a bit of a gray-zone carrier. With that said, I believe that If tickets were sold, alcohol served and rivals competing, I would consider it a sporting event. I've always assumed that the libs were (out of ignorance) afraid of drunken overzealous fans getting into shootouts. My line of thinking is that sports facilities are not prohibited blanketly like schools. I would chance it if there were no metal detectors.

It might be an event but I don't know about "sporting" if there is no competing team in the house.

Good point.
I think I'll just leave it in the truck

No to carry, it is a professional sporting event, doesn't have to be a game.
