When my boys were growing up they told the monsters under the bed and in the closet "You really don't want me to wake my Daddy up."
Then they rolled over and went soundly to sleep.

I was lazy and didn't want to deal with the monsters when my daughter was young, so I just hung up a poster of Chuck Norris staring menacingly. Never had a problem with monsters or boogymen after that!

I didn't mind getting up when the boys were little. Those were the good times. I just wanted to bring my boys up with a sense of what they need to fear. They soon learned that phantoms in the dark were nothing. Those little imaginations can run wild.
