My wife and I are in vacation in San Francisco (not carrying of course) ... while walking back dinner we saw several blocks cordoned off ... a man barracaded himself in his apt. Earlier in the day there was another incident apparently a shooting involving the police. Not much information in the article but for what it's worth here it is:

Violated 'police' rule number 4!

1) Don't talk back to the cops...
2) Don't run from the cops...
3) Don't fight/resist the cops...
4) Never, ever, point a gun at the cops...

Well... if you point a gun at uniformed cops, the potential results should be pretty obvious.

Yep, that will work purt' near anywhere. It's called, among other things, "suicide by cop".

You've got it all wrong. The article didn't say anything about pointing a gun. The "victim" just displayed it.

"The person displayed weapons to the officer and the officer fired," Dangerfield said. "It was a fatal shot to the victim."

The article linked to above doesn't mention a gun at all. It says: "Police say when they went to investigate, a tenant pulled out a weapon and the officer fired. Authorities are not saying what kind of weapon the man had."

Only the police can carry a gun, so how did this other guy have a gun?? Geezz I guess the law abiding citizens need to be punished even more. Effective immeditaly, all legal citizens of California are no longer allowed to even look at a picture of a gun or watch a movie with a gun. This is for your safety. Criminals, feel free to sell more drugs and buy guns in the alleyways. You are safe with us!

With love and happy thoughts
