Okay, got everything finished up today.
Supporting documents went out priority mail. L1 visit was quick and easy.
Choose Service
License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page

You may be seeing that message for a while. They have had my paperwork as well as others for a week with the same message.

Thanks. I'm not sweating it too badly, I carry under a Utah CFP already, but would like to have my Texas plastic as thats alot more "official".

If my wife and I are any indication, you will indeed see the "waiting on reciept of required materials" status for a while. Per return reciept, our required materials were delivered Sept. 28 and our status has not changed from the "waiting" yet. The wait continues....

Mine has said that for 2 weeks. I emailed them today and got a reply this afternoon:
Your application has not been entered into the system. It is likely going though the processes required before entry
It generally takes 2-4 weeks to be entered.

Update... As of today, the packet has been received and updated in the DPS system. I lied before, the return receipt said that they actually received it on Sept. 29. The wait now enters a new phase of watching items get checked off (fingerprints and background check are pending). Baby steps...

My Status just changed October 13th also. My wife sent the packet out on the 29th of Sept. by regular mail (with no way of nowing when it actually got there).
I just hope it doesn't take too long. My SuperTuck is on it's way as well, so it can at least wait till I get that so I can carry easily when the plastic gets here.

going back for fingerprints tomorrow for the instructor cert. I expect that to be a long wait, since the next class probably ain't till summer.
