I watched a tactical .22 competition at DPC this morning. It looked like good, affordable fun so I came home and looked for economy AR type .22 rifles and ran across this one at Cheaper Than Dirt for $218. I looked at a few reviews, but I think it is too new for much input. I think it is based on the Plinkster platform, which I know nothing about. Anybody have experience with this gun?

Is this AR-15 style like the S&W or just made to look tactical like the Ruger. I can't tell from the picture.

You might want to look at an AK type http://dealer.americantactical.us/products?product=560" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have a GSG-5 (MP-5 like .22) and have been very happy with it

I held one of these not too long ago, seemed like it was made pretty cheaply. Not even close to a real AR , though the s&w 1522 seemed like a real winner and would have got my money but i went ahead and got a .22 conversion for my AR instead.

Like they say , sometimes you get what you pay for.
