Yes, your days of going to the gun range and nobody bothering you while you shoot are *over*.bevans wrote:just got the kimber ultra raptor and it seems to be a great gun ,i am waiting on chl so havent broke in yet ,,,,,, anybody heard anything negative about this new kimber
Are you kidding? First time I knicked my Tactical I almost cried.Diode wrote:Looked hard at the Raptor but decided on the Tactical. I figured if I scratched the Raptor Ultra II I;d start crying in the range. Just over 500 rounds and not a problem one.
I figured "Tactical" meant something to drag through the mud and stuffcyphur wrote:Are you kidding? After 600 rounds its got a few knicks. I'm tossing around the idea of having the slide re-done in Black-T so it will withstand daily carry better, as well as the magazines.
Thought about doing the PSS as well, but figured that can wait. I don't have the cash for both right now.
Black-T will get knicked up just like many other finish out there. Here's an illustrated version.cyphur wrote: After 600 rounds its got a few knicks. I'm tossing around the idea of having the slide re-done in Black-T so it will withstand daily carry better, as well as the magazines.
KinnyLee beat me to the punch. It's a tool not a museum piece.I wouldn't worry about wear. It gives it character. Shows people you actually used your equipment.
No doubt about that, you saw mine!dws1117 wrote:KinnyLee beat me to the punch. It's a tool not a museum piece.I wouldn't worry about wear. It gives it character. Shows people you actually used your equipment.
Yep. Sure did. Now if your gun blows up at the range, then you can cry. If it's just a few scratches pull out the krylon and keep going.Diode wrote:No doubt about that, you saw mine!dws1117 wrote:KinnyLee beat me to the punch.
