Carry report - Kemah boardwalk

I have been carrying for just under a year now, and have been working my way up to carrying all the time. I took my 8 year old daughter to the Kemah boardwalk area yesterday. After checking the laws a bit and getting some good info from the folks on this forum, I decided to carry. This was the first time I have carried in a setting such as this.
Since I was planning to do alot of walking and would also go on a few rides, I was wearing shorts, with an undershirt and as untucked Polo. I went with the following carry set-up:
Glock 26 in a Supertuck at 3:30
Taurus PT709 Slim in the left front pocket
Extra mag for the Taurus in my right front pocket
A total of 26 rounds of Federal Ranger SXT 9mm JHP in the aforementioned
I left the G19 at home because it is more difficult to conceal than the G26. If this had been a shorter, or less active, outing, I would have gone with the G19. I also left the Kel-Tec P3AT at home because I wanted a 9mm back-up and the Taurus Slim is not much bigger than the P3AT. I like the P3AT for an ankle holster, but other than that, the Taurus will probably take over BUG duties.
I spent about 9 hours at the park, so a pretty long day overall. I went on the Pirate ship type ride (twice), the Drop Zone, the roller coaster and that flying airplane type ride that goes way too high. The only ride I specifically avoided was the Inverter which seems to spend alot of time upside down. In truth, I wouldn't have gone on that ride regardless. My daughter went on about 10-15 rides without me. Her sister was home sick, but she found a friend about her age and they were running all over the park together.
I really felt comfortable with my carry set-up. The G26 is an easy carry since it does not print at all, especially in a Supertuck. I found myself consciously keeping my right side against railings, etc., as I waited for my daughter to go on rides and chatted with other parents. Other than that, I felt completely natural.
The only interesting event was after one roller coaster trip. My daughter came off the ride with her new friend and said that a man in line had been "mean" to his girlfriend. After some probing, it turned out that the guy was swearing at her, calling her a whore, etc., and that he slapped her. Two or three men in line started to confront him and the guy and his girlfriend left the line. My daughter pointed them out to me as they were talking on a bench, and I decided it was best to just avoid them at that point. The roller coaster is the only line at that place where you cannot see the people waiting when you are outside the ride. I decided to go with my daughter the next time she rode on the coaster.
Other than that, it was a great time. In addition to the rides, we fed the Stingrays, watched a guy juggling fire, had a good dinner, and just generally had fun hanging out.
