First, apologies to everyone who's hand I shook at the forum shoot. Woke up sunday with a sore throat. Went to urgent care this afternoon. Yeah, strepp.

Okay so I go to the urgent care. Very pleasant place. Weight is a little off on the scale, due to a full 1911 and two spare magazines....
Exam with the PA goes quickly and she's confident my inflamed and miserable throat is carrying strepp.
Treatment? Penicillin shot. And a steroid shot. Both are very thick.

So, I take the comptac with 1911 and lay it on the bed. Warned the assistant first. She got a little bit of a look on her face but otherwise didn't act like it was a big deal.
So, I get the shots. Put the 1911 back where it belongs. Then realize, I've got to go sit back down in the truck.
Ouch.

Would take strep over viral any day. At least you can treat strep. Hope you feel better soon!
