I have a Sig P 238 which I like very much. It is tiny compared to what a lot of you carry. I have pocket carried for my Costco and Wally walk.
Wore a belt the second time and it was much better as my pants didn't try to come down.
Front pocket carry with this small a gun seems pretty easy and the only adjustment was to move my iphone to my back pocket.
However, I have never felt I could get the gun out of my pocket with any speed at all.
So with cooler weather around now, I bought a cheap Uncle Mikes inside the waste band holster. Tonight was my first trial.
I wore it at 3:00 and had a tee shirt and a light jacket over it. It is completely hidden from the outside. However, I certainly was reminded of it all the time. Where as the front pocket carry I almost forget about, this way it is always reminding me it is there. First it is cold and takes a while to warm to my body temperature. I noticed I was being more careful how I moved getting in and out of cars etc. Being up at my waistband my arm was rubbing it a lot.
So the inconvenience factor has gone way up. However, I did feel with it on my hip I could get to it so much faster. I was wearing jeans, so I don't think I could have pocket carried it with out it showing in my pocket. So maybe I will just get used to it this way.
I'm going to try and pocket carry it next in my jacket, however, I'm thinking this is not going to work as one side is riding a lot lower.
The additional weight my cause the jacket to flop more. Plus I am a little nervous about if you can see it by looking down the jacket pocket from the right angle.
I guess the one thing that stands out the most when I have carried is how lucky I am to live in Texas. Not many places in the world where you can do this.

Your carry comfort would increase tremendously if you were to try a decent IWB holster. I tried an uncle mikes IWB for about 3 days when I switched back to OWB till my supertuck arrived. CrossBreed and comp-tac make some great products. They hold the weapon secure and tight to your body, so your not brushing it with your elbows. It can be just as comfortable and concealable as a pocket carry set up IMHO. Once you figure out what cant and position fits you, you won't go back to your uncle mikes.

True

That's a benefit of hybrid kydex/leather. The leather between you and the pistol.

With a hybrid, you can adjust the height and cant/angle

If cost is a factor:
Look at
Comfort Carry holsters (dual layer, thick quality holster, uses Comp-Tac clips, being thicker, it's more sweat proof, but takes longer to "break in" shape to your body, comes with Standard Comp-Tac clips)

He also covers the
SIG P238 w/LASER
Comfort Carry Mini Bodyguard Tuckable Holster Price: $50.00 Including Shipping
Mounting options/Comp-Tac clips

Kholster (a good beginner to IWB kydex, single layer leather, more flexible, but metal clips may scratch belt)
http://www.kholster.com/products.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
under "Little Moon"
$49.00 (Still, for a dollar more, I recommend Comfort Carry over Kholster)
Later, you may upgrade to a
Comp-Tac (If you got the Comfort Carry first, you'll already have spare/various clips)
http://www.comp-tac.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or
Crossbreed
or
Tucker gunleather
I still wear my Comfort Carry holster a lot.
After trying and liking it, I upgraded my carry system:
I use a
Comp-Tac belt with Velcro sewn in, and the with
Comp-Tac's Velcro V-clips, so nothing shows on my belt, it all attaches UNDER the belt, so when tucked, there's
nothing, no clip to see.
I wear my old Kholster sometimes, I added sticky-back Velcro on the metal clips, and wear it with clips under my Comp-Tac belt with Velcro sewn in now.
I have a bunch of sizes of Uncle Mikes holsters in a suitcase in the closet that I bought in the 1980s.
Note on clips:
If you opt for C-clips, they must be the correct size for your belt. V-clips require the soft part of Velcro be stuck or sewn under your belt. Standard clips just require a belt. Metal clips can scratch a nice belt.
Also, your Nylon Uncle Mikes will let your gun rust quicker, nylon doesn't keep moisture/humidity out as well as something like the
dual layer horsehide+leather Comfort Carry

+1000 on getting a better holster. Not only will the gun ride more securely, but a Kydex/leather hybrid holster will make for a much thinner, more concealable overall package. The added thickness of the nylon Uncle Mike's holster really adds to the discomfort of carrying IWB.
Also, getting a gun belt, not just using a belt you already have, will make a big difference. If you can go with a really informal look, any of the nylon "instructor's belts" will work well and be a lot cheaper than a lether gun belt. I got an Uncle Mike's reinforced intructor's belt from Amazon.com for $18.65, and it works great. It's a knock-off of the Original Instructor Belt from The Wilderness that sells for $49.95 plus shipping. I was a little skeptical at firwst that just getting a more rigid belt would make that big of a difference. But now, it's the only belt I wear. It really is a big help for carrying.

I add my + on getting a better holster. I have a couple Crossbreed holsters and they are very comfortable. The big strip of leather between the gun and your skin helps a whole lot.
That said, I carry IWB through the summer all the time. I normally carry with a Crossbreed or a leather holster similar to the Milt Sparks design. I normally carry at 4 or 5 O'clock around back. My normal summer attire is cargo shorts (with belt) and a T-shirt or other shirt not tucked in. If you are careful not the bend over at the waist too much and make sure the shirt doesn't hang up on the gun, longer, loose fitting T-shirts will hide the gun just fine. I find that IWB in the summer is no problem. In addition, I am one that will sweat at the drop of a hat, but as long as I clean the gun occasionally and keep it well oiled internally, I don't see it as a problem.
I also want to state that A GOOD BELT IS MANDATORY for concealed carry at the waist or in the pocket.

That keeps your arm from rubbing it. Also, for me, 3 o'clock is too bony.

Good holster makes all the difference.
High Noon, IWB, CZ 2075 RAMI, 4-5 o'clock yr-round.
It is a journey; finding that holster and comfort(relatively).
That journey is shortened with a quality holster.
Stay on the forum, ask around. It'll happen.
