Can I Borrow Your Holster?

I'm discovering different methods of carry, and have found the fanny pack to be my go-to holster. I can snap it on, and I'm not constantly worried about exposing my piece due to wind or needing to bend over, etc.

Still, I have a hip holster for my revolver of which I am very fond. I've been carrying it crossdraw, even though it's meant to be carried strong side, and it seems to conceal much better. The grip tucks into my waist and bending over is no longer a problem!

I want to carry my 1911 crossdraw as well, but have already bought two holsters that just aren't going to work. In the interest of not spending (wasting) more money on holsters I can't use, is anyone willing to let me borrow their spare 1911 holsters to see if I happen upon one that works for me?

If you have any 1911 holsters that you're willing to part with temporarily, I would really appreciate it. I will send them back in the same condition I receive them, and even throw in a nice note and enough to cover what you paid to ship it. I just really don't want to waste more money buying holsters that aren't functional for me, so this method is much more cost-effective.

Thanks, and I hope someone out there has something that can help me out!

I have a brand new CTAC that I can't use while the Kimber is in the shop. It's a RH draw but is adjustable. Not sure about crossdraw.

Aw, man, I should have specified: one of my non-workable holsters is an IWB holster. I'm just too tiny to do IWB - the barrel/slide reaches down my leg enough to look funny no matter what pants I have on or where I put it, so I need something OWB.
Thanks, gigag04, I appreciate the offer...I just didn't give ya'll enough information from the get-go.

My fiance is 5-00 100lbs, I always wonder how she would carry IWB. It would have to be a smaller pistol

Well, ANY holster will do -- I want to try out as many as I can. It seems like crossdraw would actually be much easier for me to conceal, but who knows...I might find a strong side holster that works just fine.

In any case, I just want to get a feel for what works and what doesn't without spending a fortune. There are no good holster resources in my area that would let me try them out. ;-)

Indeed, I do. I figure most people will have the typical 5" barrel 1911, though, and have the appropriate holster for the 5 inch -- and that would be fine for me. I'll have an extra inch of material on the end, but that's not what I'm concerned about, so I didn't specify earlier what length barrel I had. I'm just looking for fit on my body, not on the gun. :-)

PM me an address & I will send you a few to try. All will be OWB.
One you can adjust the cant for crossdraw or appendex. A kydex.
Shorter barrell is OK 1911 holster. You cant put a 5" gun in many shorter barrel holsters due to crimped muzzel end. I will stuff a note in some for info.

Love the holster library. I'd offer, but don't have any that fit what you're looking for.

That's okay - longtooth had a holster that worked for me!

Thanks again, longtooth! :)
