Alas - It finally happened

My wife and small son and I were traveling through rural Oklahoma yesterday when were rear-ended outside of Atoka. As the local officer approached asking for DL's I presented mine with my CHL. He glanced at it, then handed it back stating he'd rather have my proof of insurance. He never asked any questions or made any comment to me regarding the location of my weapon (Ruger LCP in my pocket and Sig 229 in the console). He was very professional and courteous. Nice! :clapping:

Familyguy... First off, trust everyone was OK for being hit, then thanks for sharing that with us. One just never knows how the LEO's are going to respond and their attitude. Mostly though, I think this would be normal LEO professional behavior. Glad the family was alright from the accident and that nothing else was required by the LEO for your license issue.
Take care and be safe

Per chance you didn't have a Texas Longhorn sticker :txflag: on the car did you? "rlol" Guess not as maybe he would have given you more of an issue. :patriot: :txflag:

Welcome to forum. I as well hope no one was injured. Every time I go through Atoka I am stopped. :banghead: I keep forgetting about that little town's police. Never had a ticket and have always been treated with respect. :tiphat:

Yes, all are OK. No longhorn sticker - just an NRA sticker and my son was wearing his A&M cap (whoop!)

Unfortunately, I'll have to make the long return drive to retrieve my truck when it has been repaired.

I don't think UT is competitive enough this year to get a negative reaction from a Baylor fan, much less a Sooner fan. He probably would have gotten some pity instead of getting any type of "issue":

I wonder if UT would be interested in an exhibition game against the Katy Tigers. That would be a good game, and could probably sell out Rhodes stadium.
