Question - What to do - 2.5 months - Waiting

I've been following this board for over a year and finally took my CHL class and mailed in all paperwork on 8/31/2010. I have green checks by everything except fingerprints and background check which have been sitting at "under review" for six or seven weeks.

I've called and spoken with the DPS several times and each time they tell me that everything looks good, nothing has been lost, and that we're just waiting on the FBI background checks. They have also told me they are sending an email to inquire on the status, but that sometimes things just take longer. I was also told the background checks have been taking longer than normal lately, but it seems like everyone on here is getting their licenses in 30 - 45 days. I've also emailed twice. I got a similiar responses the first time I emailed, and they have not returned my last email.

What do I do at this point? It seems like everyone else is getting their licenses in about a months time... My background is clean and I am confident that I qualify...

Thanks for the response. I understand the waiting game, but I don't want to wait around if they have lost it, or need something further from me. I'll keep an eye on it and perhaps send a written letter around December 1st.

Thanks guys! I guess I was around 100 days, which is hard to deal with when most others seem to be around 30... Either way, I am relieved as I was beginning to think it was lost somewhere.
