DPS Audits and or Internal Reviews

Question: Does DPS have internal reviews/audits to ensure that approved CHL are legitimate. Like wise to ensure disapproved applications were disapproved and should have been so. If so does anyone know of an individual that was later contacted by DPS and told your CHL was issued and should not have been, or it was not issued and should have been. The workers at DPS are human and can make mistakes. This would also ensure that the liberal media would never get their hands on a story where someone with a CHL committed a crime and was later found out that the individual should have never been issued a CHL in the first place. That would play right into the hands of the anti gun folks. I'm sure that enough checks and balances are in place and that explains why the process takes the time it does. Would that not be the pits, you get a letter from DPS that says you forget to dot an "i" or cross a "t" and your CHL is suspended until corrected. That would be my luck. Appreciate the discussion.

The idea that the media would use facts to buttress their stories is laughable.

In class we did go over revocations and suspensions. In the material it does cite an instance where your CHL can be "recalled" because you have been found to have provided or hidden certain information.
Now, I would think that all of this would be cleared up before they crank up the printer and that the state cerainly does not take a "lets issue him one and if we come across anything fishy we will just revoke it". I think its one of those "it could happen" but ranks pretty low on the "likley to happen" scale.
Now if your found guilty of a crime...you bet theyd go after your license. But Ive heard nothing to indicate any sort of "audit".
