WTB: 9mm Brass

Anyone know any local places to pickup used brass between galveston and houston? Been hearing about ammo prices getting ready to increase by 10-15% so I figure it's about time I start reloading 9mm as well. I can get if off e-bay fairly cheap, but was hoping there may be a place around here to buy it. Would go for new winchester brass, but I don't see the point in paying $10-15 per 100.

Thanks

EDIT: Has anyone used http://www.precisionbullets.com/ before? Accurate, as clean as they claim, reliable in semi-autos?

T's Guns & Ammo in Texas City sells reloading supplies. I don't know if they have 9 mm brass. 409-948-0101.

DustinB, you are right about not buying 9mm brass. Buy the brass too & you can buy factory for the total price. If you do not find any soon I will start saving range pick up for you if you want me too. Takes a while but it is plentiful at our range. I dont have any at all right now.

Ammo is going up AGAIN!!??!!

When is this supposed to happen?? I need to stock up some more if that's true. Figures, gas goes down, ammo goes up. I can't win!

This was posted by a commercial sponsor on another forum. Can't verify this as fact anywhere but it sounds reasonable.
I just got off the phone with a bullets maker and he stated that many of the big ammo makers are preparing to raise their wholesale prices by 10% over the next two months. That means ammo like WWB will go up by roughly 12-15% respectively. Something to consider.

Keep in mind that this increase allows the manufacturers to protect their baseline margins. The higher-end makers will raise their prices even more.

Commodity prices have been depressed for 20 years. Metals (including lead, copper, and nickel) have approximately doubled in the last year. Demand from China is the usual explanation.

I don't think it's closely linked to the price of oil.

It's a fact of life. Everything except bulk .22 LR has gone up about 20% this year.

Thanks for the offer Longtooth, I should be covered for a while.

Met up with Jason and KinnyLee at the Texas City Range today. Had a great time shooting in the military rifle shoot even though I didn't do very well. I did get a bullseye at 100 yards open sights, but considering I only hit the target twice in 10 rounds one of them had to be good.

Jason gave me a nice bag of assorted brass and I found a guy that had 1000 cases for $10.

Appreciate the brass Jason.

I take the Bob Brinker approach to ammunition: Dollar-cost average, and buy bargains for cash when they're available.

In other words, buy it as you need it at whatever the market price is that day, but if you get a chance to score a bargain, do it! (Assuming you won't go upside down by paying credit card interest, etc.)

You are very welcome for the brass.

You did great at the military match...especially with a gun that you were not very familiar with! Isn't it relaxing? I could tell that you enjoyed visiting with the folks participating. Thank you for attending...I enjoyed shooting with you. Take care.

Yeah it's deff on my list of things to do once a month. Great group of guys.

If anyone else likes to shoot military rifles you should come on down to the texas city range. Every 3rd saturday. Just have to pay the range free, military rifle shoot is free. All you need is a military rifle of some sort. WW2 rifle, vietnam era rifle, AR15, FN FAL, etc... No prize, just bragging rights, hehe.
