SnowBall Events

I've been working the SnowBall events the last few days. For those who don't know what SnowBall is, it's a series of benefits for kids and families who lost a parent or loved one in Iraq or Afghanistan or anywhere we have troops in harms way. American Airlines flew them and their family members to Dallas for the event and then put them up in hotels. They then provided a series of benefits for them. A rodeo at the Mesquite Rodeo and a chance to hear the Lt. Dan Band (Gary Sinise) in concert. A flyover with Rocketman and other stuff in Victory Park and a chance to see the Nutcracker Suite. Today they went to Six Flags. Tonight we are wrapping up with a Master Magician and a Cirque type Circus.

It's been a logistical nightmare providing the AV for all of the various events, but it was well worth it to see the smiles on the faces of those kids and their remaining parent. I saw a lot of resilient kids and Moms who were trying to make the best of it. After all the corporate gigs I do every year, this was a really nice way to end the years work.

For all veterans who served in peacetime and in war, I salute you. Thank you very much.
