Going to a play at the Grand Opera House in Galveston this weekend. Does anyone know if they have a 30.06 sign posted?

There was no sign when I was last there, but that was over two years ago. I'm also not sure if it's privately owned, or if the City of Galveston owns it.

It's owned by a foundation. I walked by it this month, and it was not 30.06 posted. Probably it has a TABC unlicensed possession sign. I don't even see those.
Nothing that a tourist would go to in Galveston is 30.06 posted. You just have to be mindful of what might be a 51% bar.

There is a bar in the Grand Opera House, and the last time Mrs. Anygunand I saw Robert Earl Keen the bar had a 51% sign. The bar had no seats - it was just a concession that sold adult beverages. I did not buy any.
We had dinner at Luigi's on the Strand.
We have tickets to see Jerry Jeff Walker New Years Day.
I need to make reservations for Luigi's again.
I'll let you know if'n I see any signs.

Wouldn't the 51% sign only be applicable to the bar, but not the entire facility?

yes, as there is no way that they make more on alcohol than entertainment

I was there about a year ago, and there is a small concession stand under the stairs that had a really old, non compliant sign. The doors were not posted. The sign on the concession stand looked ancient (pre-flood).
Update us if there are any changes.

Went to the Jerry Jeff Walker concert yesterday evening after dinner at Willie G's. The oysters are still very good.
The Grand Opera House is not posted at the entrance. I did not go around the bar downstairs so I have nothing to rteport on that old 51% sign. I saw no sign around the concession stand on the second floor while we were waiting for the show to start.
Carry away, fellow CHLers! I did.
Jerry Jeff still has it. Mrs. Anygun and I have been Jerry Jeff followers since 1979 when we saw him at the old Gilley's in Pasadena. We have seen him I don't know how many times including in California when we lived there.
The Grand Opera house is a great venue to see a show.
I promised Mrs. Anygun we would go and see him in Belize. He has a one week trip several times a year with two guaranteed private shows during the week.
Texas music is the best.
