A friend is asking for recommendations on a real good Texas civil attorney. I don't have much detail, not sure I want to know more. They are out of state (NC) and would probably need to do some initial consults over the phone.
Anyone got any good recommendations?

Not sure if a specific area is required, but the best civil attorney I know is the owner of this board!

Civil?
As in contracts/setting up Partnerships/Corporations?
as in Injury or Tort/products liability/medical malpractice?
as in Family matters?
as in debt/creditor?
as in Real Estate?
as in Probate?
as in (anything but criminal)
Defense or Plaintiff?
Texas has lots of areas of "Specialization"
What kind of "civil" matter? (in general, without details)
Even WITHIN those areas of "specialization... an "injury" attorney may take injuries from plant explosions, car wrecks but not take slip and falls or medical malpractice (lacking the staff with extensive medical/chemistry knowledge or whatever)
Need at least a little more info/details.

Not sure I want more details or info. I sent her the contact info for Mr. Cotton's firm. If they can't help her, hopefully they can send her to someone who can.
