New Instructor applicant questions

Question #2 on the CHL-90 asks:

"Please list each course, the date completed and the date of expiration. Please attach legible copies of documentation and certificates you received for the handgun instructor’s training course(s) you have completed."

I dont want my application tossed out, especially with a limited number of instructor classes. Am I supposed to include the date of my initial basic CHL class here or are they only asking for "instructor's training courses" that I have completed? Naturally, on the application, it says "SEE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MORE DETAILS" but guess what.....there arent any instructions that I could find. I called the state and, again naturally, I held for over 25 minutes until I hung up frustrated.

If I have never taught any handgun "instructors training courses", so I am thinking I just leave #2 blank.

Thanks in advance....

They are looking for NRA Basic Pistol or POST or TCLEOSE Instructor certifications. If you had any of those, it would allow you to take the short course.

If you don't, just leave it blank and brace yourself for the 40 hour course. Which, I think is now 36 hours...

I had the same issue (no instructions) a few months ago, so I called. Basically Marty has it right the training is for NRA, POST, TCLEOSE or other accepted firearms course. In my case I just filled in the pertinent info and sent along a copy of my NRA Cert Instructors certificate and current NRA Instructor card.
