It looked like a pep ralley to me, not a memorial. This looks scary folks, very scary.

that is all this President has done since 2006, had pep rallies to get him elected. once elected, he kept right on pep rallying to get re-elected which God willing, will NOT happen

I could only watch 30 seconds at a time, This is the ONLY politician ever, that I just simply 100% do not like.

I was so turned off by the crowd, that I stopped watching. I thought it was a disgrace to the moment, and a total "forgetting" of the purpose from the juvenile crowd. it was nothing more than another Obama "love fest" for college students. I don't particularly, or totally, blame the President, but the crowd should be ashamed. A more appropriate venue should have been selected, and the White House staff should have known that. But, then again, it's their "modus operandi."

Thought he did a decent job of walking the fence..

My expectations weren't so high, however.

All the cheering from the (mostly student) crowd was a bit out of place, but, can't really blame the President for that.

So, what if another kookoo decided to use his car/truck to plow in a crowd waiting to meet someone? Will they ban cars?

First of all, our sympathies and best wishes go out to the victims of the Tucson massacre.

We watched the memorial addresses in Tucson this evening. I perceived nine (9) references to our RKBA concerns during the POTUS' speech. The references started with "gunman" and included references to ammunition, bullets, reloading, gun laws/safety, and four other related words and/or phrases that I failed to write down.

More gun control is coming as sure as shootin'!

everyone is saying more gun control? Why it did not happen after Virginia Tech or Fort hood incident, with the later extended magazines were used too, no?

If NRA can't stand up and defeat this storm in a tea-cup, then more law suits is ahead.

Why not concentrate on the real problem by spending more money to treat kookoos?

Why not spend less money and behead kookoos?

100% Insane people are unaccountable according to Islamic Law. This does not mean they can let lose to be a danger to themselves or others. They are cared for in Adult Institutions.

Extreme Political Views is not insanity.

Irrational behavior or not distinguishing right from wrong or what it means to hurt oneself or others can be indicative of insanity.

There are some people who would became insane for while and they are sane for most of the time, this is where medication can help.

These are the college students who should be allowed CC on campus?

Oh well, I usually can't watch him long anyway.
I enjoyed all of it I saw ... I think I saw him leave ... that was good. :hurry:

I'm fairly sure that most of this crowd is totally against CC on campus, but that's just a guess.

Granted, it has been many, many moons since my matriculation; are college students different from school to school, state to state these days? Judging from the antics shown on TV during NCAAF games,I think maybe not.

I've noticed that he holds a lot of speeches on liberal college campuses. I'm sure he does it just for the pep rally factor. Young college students on a liberal campus will portray more energy and show more reaction to American television viewers than a neutral "town hall meeting" type setting.

Yes, they are very different. Some schools are more conservative, some are more liberal. For instance, in Texas, UT is a fairly liberal school while A&M is a fairly conservative one. There are obviously some exceptions to this rule, but that's the general majority.
