CBS News Pro Gun Story

I am sitting here relaxing watching the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. They aired a story that was mostly filmed in a gun shop and explaining that another gun ban/gun law isn't going to stop acts of violence like the Giffords shooting last weekend. The guy doing the story (didn't catch his name) demonstrated how easily a fresh magazine is inserted (and even called it a magazine!). The man behind the counter and also a customer said that banning hi-cap mags won't do any good.

He went on to state that both houses of Congress have pro-gun majorities and stated that the 3 bills, one to ban hi-cap mags, one to make having a gun within 1000' of a Congressman illegal and mandatory background checks at gun shows.

The end of the story showed pro-gun Rep. Giffords shooting an AK-47 and quoting from Rep. Giffords "I am pretty good with a Glock."

I have seen pro-gun pieces, but I was pleasantly surprised that it came from CBS News and Katie Couric.

I checked CBS, but couldn't find a link yet.

Edit: Here is the link for the story, however, no video. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/ ... 7684.shtml

Considering the source, that is very surprising. Makes me suspicious. :headscratch

With Kaite Couric, I was surprised also! I had to back the DVR to watch it again, just to make sure what I heard was correct!
