Flexible Body Armor

Found this in youtube. Interesting product. Would like to see how it reacts to bullets.

The inventor says it won't stop firearms projectiles.
I see it as a potentially great liner for ballistic vests. If I understand its properties correctly, it should react to the backface deformation of a bullet impact (which can transmit enough energy to kill the wearer, even without bullet penetration) by becoming rigid. This would spread the impact over the entire area of the polymer layer and should greatly reduce the damage caused by blunt trauma.

Last I checked, Dragon Armor didn't pass the DOD tests.

While watching a show about the Secret Service last week they talked about this guy's stuff and speculated that President Obama might have been wearing one of his suits at his inauguration.
