Hey everyone,
I've been reading and lurking about here for some time. Great info y'all post here.
I took my class back at the end of December and finally got everything sent off this past Friday! Hopefully it won't take too terribly long. I did the online app and then FAST fingerprints and mailed my photos with the other documents on Friday. I've been carrying around the house to get used to it. So far just been carrying lethal weapon style, IWB, without a holster.
What is a good IWB holster for a Glock 27? I felt totally comfortable around the house with no holster, but feel I need something to ensure my weapon is secured sufficiently. Nothing too bulky, just nice and comfy....any suggestions?

Can't recommend an IWB for you. I've got a pocket holster for
work and a nice OWB when I'm on my own time and clothing.

Comptac, Crossbreed, Galco, Raven, Milt Sparks are all great - and quite different. What's your budget? Leather or Kydex? Clips or loops?

My roommate works for a neighboring dept and carries his G27 everywhere. He uses a comptac and loves it. Many here will agree.

I've never used a Comp-Tac, but I do carry my XD in a Crossbreed Supertuck. It is very comfortable, and conceals great. I've not had a chance to get my hands on a Comp-Tac, but, just looking at photos online, the leather appears to be considerably thicker. I bought my Supertuck with the Horse hide, as opposed to the leather, and would recommend doing the same if you end up with one. They look huge and uncomfortable visually, but trust me (and many others on this site) when I say, they are quite comfortable.

I carry a 26, prior to that a 27

As sated above, almost any leather+kydex hybrid is good, and (one not listed yet is Rob Durham's comfort carry, which uses Comp-Tac's clips interchangeably)

I own lots, but mostly I wear the Kholster, the Comfort Carry, and most of all, one which isn't leather+kydex ...
a Desantis Tuck This 2 ... that's what I wear daily with a Comp-Tac belt.

I vote for the Crossbreed/Supertuck for my all-day every-day carry. . . check out their website as there are youtube demos right on their homepage. . . in the end the perfect holster is the one that works for YOU!

just enough friction to leave the pocket holster in my pocket
if I want to draw the pistol, but is also easy to remove if I want
to withdraw the holster with the gun inside it.

It covers the trigger and breaks up the gun's outline so that it
doesn't print.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I've been carrying around the house at about 830 or so(lefty) and it's unbelievably comfortable there! After wearing all day at the house, I almost forget it's there. I can't wait to get my plastic so I can get out with it!

Kydex is pretty good in the summer when there is a lot of moisture.

Grandfather Oak is reasonably inexpensive pocket kydex and works well (if one breaks its not that expensive).

I used to like Fist K5 pocket, but several have been made too short at the muzzle end (QC problem), and one cracked where it was sewed recently ("too bad," said Fist). So I don't recommend or buy these anymore.

I also have grown to like the DeSantis Nemisis. Had it for a long time but starting to use it more as it is very sturdy, doesn't print, and protects the firearm well.

Do not pocket carry, because you will get shot before you know it. I have my dear baby glock27, 23. Blade-Tech(belt loop) has always been my best accommodation to this pain in the rear. I wish I could do a glock shoulder holster, but not gonna happen here in Texas; at least for me. Good luck finding the best for yourself....Be safe!

Pocket carry can be a good option and not necessarily slower. I walk to the car with my hand in my pocket on the grip of my J-frame or PM9 frequently. I can have it out of the pocket in less than a second.
