A major network announced 57% for ban on their online poll
According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, Americans favor banning high-capacity ammunition clips by a 57%-39% margin.
That is making its way around the internet, ostensibly to make Politicians listen and gather support.
I never saw that poll, I bet none of us did ...

Why not have more restrictive gun laws?
Law makers have no qualms with trying to enact more restrictive laws regarding our 1st Amendment rights, why not the rest?

Why not revoke the third amendment?

The third was on their mind when they drafted the second.

What did Jesus Christ tell Peter to do? "Put Away Your Weapon."
From comments ... I guess they were reading someone else's mail and didn't read the whole book,
that was addressed ONLY to Peter, here's a verse for the rest of us.
Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now,
he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and
he that hath no sword,
let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Appears to be a touchy-feely Liberal site. What would you expect from a poll they would conduct?

Wonder if using their line of reasoning.
Arizona shooting = magazine capacity (unproven) = equals gun control = 2nd Amendment
Arizona shooting = inflammatory/uncivil speech (incorrectly proven thus far) condemned by media = likelihood reporters and pundits will irresponsibly (at best) spread rumor without checking facts and out and out lie (at worst). = sanctions on 1st amendment.
You give them an inch and they also take the yardstick and beat you with it.
Just saying.

These polls are bogus, their purpose is merely anti-self-defense propaganda, not enlightenment or actual opinion measurement. One of the reasons a poll like this is bogus, aside from such obvious factors as self-selection, ignorance of the respondents, and the fact that "high capacity" is undefined, is that everyone has a different notion in their head of what a ban means. So, for instance, a poll that asked, should a family member spend ten years in prison for owning a "high-capacity gun clip," would probably get an entirely different response.
Obviously the MSM is promoting more gun control because the liberal media hates it when we mundanes defend ourselves against criminals. If we had intelligent and honest representatives in Congress, this kind of propaganda wouldn't work. Therein lies the problem: we don't. So it comes down to the question of whether the few honest and intelligent representatives, plus those who have political reasons to oppose the anti-self-defense crowd, are enough to stop the collectivist zealots.

The rest of that story about Jesus telling Peter to put away his sword was Peter was about to attack the Romans and Jesus was telling him this wasn't the time or place. Peter would have gotten all of them killed otherwise. Sounds like Jesus was defusing the situation...

no poll here, it's anti hi-cap, urging people to mail to congress, with links ...
on the side of the page is from an advertisement for a 100 round drum mag for 9mm Glocks ... I wish I knew whose ad it was

Good video there too "Watch High-Capacity Magazines Being Fired from a Modified Glock-18" ... looks fun
