Welcome to the forum. Use the time waiting wisely. Practice both shooting and methods of carry (you can carry on your own property). This way you will feel a little more relaxed when the time arrives to actually carry out for the first time.

Well, I guess I'm inside the room. Now we'll wait and see how long the DPS keeps me on house arrest?

I got my PIN 26 days after they received the packet.

That's sooner than I was expecting.

Wow! I wonder if that approaches some sort of record? Thirty-eight days from package receipt to license issue...with the Thanksgiving holiday in the middle, no less.

I have to wonder about what is going on in Austin? They got my packet on the 3rd of Nov, and there site still only shows packet mailed. What's up with that? I emailed them and there answer was they do not even update the online site until after six weeks after packet is recieved by them. This week would be my six weeks. Also, In my case I payed online and got my pin with my packet. Seems like those who mail everything in with payment get there pin on average of 30 days with site updated to processing application. May this just stinks.

I just called there offices and at first they thought my application was possibly lost in the mail. Then I told them that they signed for it as I had proof. Then as we were chatting, she saidf hold a second as there is something "wierd" happening as I can see your picture now and now your address so they must be entering it in the system now. So for the last 30+ days my application has just been hanging around!

I really can't believe my license was processed so quick. 41 days from packet received til I put it in billfold.
I didn't even have time to really get comfortable in the Waiting Room it seems as tho I've waited longer in Drs & Dentists offices.
It was nice while here, hope that the rest of y'all want have much longer to wait.
