Gun control proposal

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) proposed to ban possession of firearms within 1,000 feet of the President, Vice President, Members of Congress or federal judges. :banghead:

Will the President, Vice President, Members of Congress and federal judges publish their itinerary and routes they will take every day so someone will not unknowingly break the law? "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"

This includes all guns carried by police and the Secret Service, right? After all, if these guns do indeed shoot people themselves, they're not safe in anyone's hands!

You are entirely correct. There is absolutely no reason to be assured that LE personnel are any more or less likely to go whacko than the general population with an evil gun in their possession.

You know, if Rep. King is afraid someone is out to get him, maybe Rep. King should stay home and ponder why that is? Maybe they all should stay home?

Good point, except there really are crazy people who think good people should die. Otherwise I agree.

Of course I'm not necessarily saying Rep. King is a good person, I don't know him. However I will say that is an insanely stupid "gun control" proposal.

It sounds like he's one of the crazy people in your first statement.

I really can't say I'd recognize all the federal judges and members of congress unless they wear the ROYAL blue sash which would give me "effective notice"

Without the sash, I dunno how they'd prove intent, if I had no effective notice.

If Rep. King is that afraid of his constituents, then, maybe, it is time for him to retire fron congress. Or, perhaps, listen to them for a change?

You took the words out of my mouth.

The guy is a nitwit. I think his first reaction was to do something to get his name in the media. He proposes a law that for the most part, can’t be enforced.

Most people would recognize the President or Vice President. I would recognize very few members of congress and absolutely no federal judges.

Will law enforcement have to post notice in a thousand foot radius around these people. :headscratch

We as a country are in sad shape when we have fools like this making out laws. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I suggest that everyone that posted a reply on this forum, be sure to contact their local rep. and let your postition be known. THe way they are going to restrict your gun rights is through a gun law.

But they do shut down major freeways so his royal highness can travel around with ease. During rush hour no less.
